This Privacy Policy explains how Tech Innovators (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use techinnovators.in. We comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and, where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR.
What we collect
- Account data — if you create an account: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form). Your topic interests and membership status.
- Newsletter — your email (and name, if given) when you subscribe, plus referral activity if you share your referral link.
- Forms — your name, email, message, phone or company when you use our contact, advertising, event registration, or “post a job” forms.
- Payments — when Pro membership launches, payments are processed by our payment gateway (Razorpay). We receive confirmation of your transaction and plan; we do not store your card or bank details.
- Technical data — cookies, IP address, device/browser type, and pages viewed, for security, functionality, and analytics.
You do not need an account to read our journalism.
How we use your data
- To provide your account, newsletter, event passes, and (once available) Pro membership.
- To send the emails you asked for — every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- To respond to enquiries, tips, advertising and job-posting requests.
- To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate readership.
We process this data on the basis of your consent, and to perform the services you request. We never sell your personal data.
Who we share it with (processors)
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract, only to run this service:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — database (RDS), file storage (S3), and email delivery (SES). Hosted in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region.
- Hostinger — website hosting and transactional email.
- Razorpay — payment processing for Pro (when live).
- Google — Analytics, AdSense advertising, and Search indexing, where enabled.
- Groq — AI text processing used in our editorial workflow (no reader personal data is sent).
Some providers may process data outside India; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards.
Cookies
We use cookies for essential functions (keeping you logged in, remembering your light/dark theme), and — where enabled — Google Analytics and Google AdSense. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to control them.
Your rights
Under the DPDPA (and GDPR where it applies) you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct or update inaccurate data;
- Request erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”);
- Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribe, or delete your account);
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights, and to grievance redressal.
To exercise any of these, email we-are@techinnovators.in. Unsubscribing and account deletion take effect promptly.
Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Account data is kept while your account is active; delete your account and we remove it. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
Data security
Passwords are hashed, the site runs over HTTPS, and personal data is accessible only to authorised team members. Payment details are handled entirely by our PCI-compliant payment gateway and never touch our servers.
Children
This service is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Where required, a child's data is processed only with verifiable parental consent.

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
